Today on my ride the speedo cable came loose from the front wheel and the inner cable must have come out on the road. i only noticed at a service station when davo asked if my speedo was working, me saying not that i had noticed only to see the cable was detached
anyway phoned up my local bike shop and there getting one ordered in, probably get in on weds (also get some thread lock!!!). anyway i want to ride, but just say i get stopped by the coppers (not for speeding) is it illegal to ride without a working speedo? i know its an MOT failure.
Cheers

Technically it is a breach of construction and use regulations but it is highly unlikley that a copper would actually check your speedo. He would have to have been sent to the spare room by his wife for the last fortnight to book you for it. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. Not a MOT failure I thought? They don't check it?
