 |
|
After reading a post on here about a poor guy who had his ZX-12R (i think?) fairings nicked while it was bolted up in his garage wondered if anyone made security bolts that you could use on a fairing? not i own a bike that has expensive fairings, just wondering out of interest, kind of like these

I'm not sure, but tbh if someone really wants to knick anything off your bike they'll have it no matter what.

true, but its all about time, if something more than an allen key is required it may help, as it may take a would be thief longer to get it off (i mean the fairing!!)

yeh but it sure would keep them away, wouldnt be able to try and nick something else a second time round with 3 less fingers , ive always said that would be the best alarm for a car, electrify the whole body of the car with a nice big charge, sure would stop car crime dead |

so if anti theft bolts dont exist then that might be worth thinking about, could be a bit of money in that, imagine the profits if they started putting these bolts that u designed on all bikes as standard?? hmmmm |

Attach all your plastics using pop rivetts? It would take a matter of a few minutes to drill the heads off when you want to remove them again. Probably quicker than unscrewing the damned things. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen.
