when i rev it goes up and stays there and then drops down really slowly

basically sounds like im ragging it of a blip of the throttle

bit worring, assuming the change in heat has summin to do with it

I'll second that.

So, it's definetely not something to do with a sticking throttle cable/contacts?

Does it do this straight from start up (I know you're not supposed to rev a cold engine that high) or jsut once it's completely warmed up?

Sounds like your carbs are out of balance, (more than one carb)?

Could be an air leak between the carb(s) and inlet manifold. My bike did this, and that was the cause Thumbs Up

Possibly your throttle cable is rusted up and so get a cable oiler device + a tin WD40 to help free up the movement of the cable.

Carbs are probably out of balance or an air leak in one, my ZXR did that and was fine after balancing the carbs
