 |
|
Hi
I was just wondering what some of you have had out of your zxr400's as mine topped out at 120 yesterday and I have a ART racing can fitted too it should be more could it be that its restricted even if its a UK model? by standard figures ive seen people getting atleast 130 out of theirs.
Also I was on the motorway yesterday and after my little speedrun which lasted about 30mins I pulled off the motorway and noticed that my front tyre was nearly flat!! causing me to nearly have an accident! I filled up thinking I had a slow puncture so went home and this morning when I got up the tyre is still inflated?
Have i got a puncture? and would it be worth getting a new tyre fitted? I dont want to take risks of being stranded in nowhere land.
thanks for the replies ____________________ Hear Thy Call..............................

Thanks for the response mate.
The fuel tap is that the black switch on the left hand side of the bike that has the on/off position? isnt that supposed to be the switch that allows you to stop the fuel going into the carbs if your storing the bike? as far as I can see it only has a on/off position markings and cant see a reserve option
I know some these questions seem "newbish" but id rather somone put me out of my worry ____________________ Hear Thy Call..............................

I had an indicated 143~, I can and do 130 daily now it's been dowgeared.
The fuel tap has 3settings on all I've seen I'd check what directions are which but I don't have it back yet. I *THINK* aiming back is on, down is off and forward is reserve.
When I put mine on reserve it sucked loads of shit in and ran like crap. I mean REALLY crap like 60 mph tops. Had to get carbs cleaned by garage which cost £100. I could get it alot cheaper now tho. |
