alarm fitting

after looking on ebay, i came across a datatool system 3 (same alarm i paid £300 for fitted)

this was the alarm on its own, ive read they are specialist install only??

is it possible to fit or are they

a) cripplingly hard to
b) worthless for insurance purposes

i have my road zxr i can have a look ar for wiring etc?

You will see no advantage insurance wise, unless it is fitted by an approved centre, as insurance companies will require the certificate which they give you.

I watched an installer fit a Datatool System 3 to my TT6. It took him just over an hour including fag breaks and some explanantion to me with regard to what he was actually doing.

I came to the conclusion (fairly quickly I hasten to add!) that it's nigh on impossible to fit one unless you're heavily into the electric componentry of your own bike.

In saying that, I had trouble when I had to input the secret code that's available for when you lose the key fob

ill give it a miss then and maybe fit a more simple one

its not for a bike ill be using so, simple will do
