full test help please!!

ok im 16 and when i was 16 was deprerate to get in the road and brought a x red speedfight 2+ extra and shes been good to me, no im not a chav as most of my friend try and point out that i sould b but that a different subject, im comin up to 17 and want to get a 125 and also want to pass my full test so that no l-plate and get a real bike when out of uni (if i go). i hav had a ped for a year and done bout 3000miles (yes on a ped that did take a long time!lol) and feel that me road knowledge is ok as i have been readin highway code ect and want to know if i ride a 125 for couple of months to get used 2 gears roughly how much money/time will it take for me be ready for test?as i have no idea at the mo!!!lol, thanks.

once you get a geared bike you will get used to it quickly, just practise in tescos car park, i did!

yea sounds like a plan...lol. how many lessons do most people need if ur confident rider and know how to ride a 125 to a ok standard in ur opions (or any1 elses)lol.did u pass first time?

If you are only looking to keep the bike for a few months, I'd definitely reccomend getting a cheap one.

An expensive DT won't offer much over a £650 DT; and you'll be a lot less bothered if you drop or crash the cheaper one.

yea that a good point, i might keep it for a while i think though as only going to be 17 getting anything bigger involes restricting it to 33bhp...doesn't it?i think im going to aim for around £900 so not flash but not too old as i think that if i go this route i will aim to keep it for at least a couple of years....i defernetly will be carefull as when i broght my 'ped i crashed it and because i spent £900 on that it broke my heart...hope i won't make that mistake again!!!
