Sorry you can't pickup on sarcasm very well in this environment.
I will one day have a go on a vincent as i know my dad will own one, one day. (sounds a little daddies boyish). I just want to build this for some fun, fun to build, fun to ride less license losing ability and still quite alot of fun and for once i'll have a bike that my dad, uncles and their friends will want to ride!
Oh and for the Vincents Egli frames are the way to go!

Thats a true ambition, I would love a Café Racer myself.
Speaking about Norvins, I do believe that a Norvin motorcycle won best runner up in classic bike of the year competition (courtesy of Classic Bike Magazine), just behind a beautifully maintained and ultimately restored 1956 Norton Dominator '88 (if memory serves).Would love a Norvin myself, better still, a Vincent .
I find the site Real Classic very good for owner accounts of bikes. They also feature a majority of bikes that have undergone intensive restoration. I just thought I'd link to the Triton T-100 owners story - good inspiration if nothing else.
If you haven't already looked at the Triton Owners Club.
Anyway, keep us informed of the build its something I'd love to be able to do sometime in my life, sooner rather than later hopefully.
Good Luck anyway mate! ____________________ "You know even if I live to be a 100 years old which is highly unlikely I must say, but if anyone mentions 1977 then a crooked smile will come to my lips, I know it will. It was the year that changed my life" - John Peel (1977) |
