Which Leathers Should I buy

Im stuck I want to know whether to buy the Dainese Leathers (with lifetime guarantee) or settle for a cheaper set like RST or similiar.
As always I would appreciate the opinions of the masses and thier experiences as I am fairly new to it all and dont want to waste money

I've just bought Dainese. IMO they are worth the extra money. Cheap leathers may not hold well in an accident and i would rather pay that little bit more for the extra quality. I suppose you should get the best to what you can afford. Thumbs Up

Get your size and check eBay. They will probably have what your looking for at about 1/4 of the price.

The ones that fit the best with enough quality not to fall apart with the first touch to tarmac.
Personally i brought Richa trousers, nice fit and not killa on the price, and seem solidly made. each to there own.
Some people who have crashed in leather should be able to recommend real world expectations of quality.

I've never worn leather in all my years of riding, don't like it, and I'm not convinced about it being the be all and end all of saving your skin in an accident. I've been down the road a few times in things like parkas and donkey jackets, and ordinary plastic waterproof jackets and they've protected me. Surely leather is just for poseurs ?

And I think the all-in-one leather riding suits look ridiculous, especially in bright colours. Birds look good in them though.

Whatever fits you in all the right places!!

I've tried various brands of leathers, ended up with cheap leathers because they were comfy.

All in one leathers only look crap on guys when they have a big belly that makes them look pregnant

I'm currently looking for a leather jacket, I've tried a few on and Dainese seems to be the most comfortable. The shoulder pads seem to be more subtle compared to others which make you look like an american football player. Also the leather seems nice and soft and all the protection seemed to fit in the right places without you noticing them. Still debating whether or not to spend 320 quid on one though.

I'd be gutted if I spend 320 quid then fell off my bike and shredded it.

why spend HUNDREDS on off the peg Italian stuff (that we know is made in Pakistan) when for about the same amount you can have them custom made in the UK
