Was what I thought about all the poor saps who don’t ride motorbikes. hahahhaaaaa
Following CC’s post of ‘Have you gone off riding?’ thread, I was feeling this for about a week until now…

So I am awakened at 6:30am, after a long weekend of booze, fags and dancing and booze I was knackard. The girlfriend making as much noise as possible, hair dryer going, lights on, rocking the bed putting her shoes on for work. I knew I this was Monday morning, I’ve got to get out of bed (hardest part), get dressed, get breakfast, uncover the bike, unlock it, open the gate, lock the gate, finish my toast, kit on and ride to work.
Fucking great Thumbs Down
Not been into the bike recently, not sure why, could it be the hassle of this, the weather?
The ride Friday afternoon was full of wankers and mopeds.
So I am doodling along the roads to work following the cagers not filtering, can’t be arsed, I’m in a foul mood.
I get to the lights just before the ‘duel carriageway’ as I usually call it, there is a Scooby to the left of me, I can feel the eyes of the smug twat on me, I don’t need this, I don’t care, fuck off go away I hate you.
I hear a slight rumbling then, a shite Japanese Harley looking thing right behind me almost touching my wheel, I’m thinking of slaughtering both vehicles but it isn’t gonna happen, I haven’t woken up yet.
The lights go green, the Scooby doesn’t floor it, the Harley wannabe does, what a cock I thought, piss off & crash.
So I have space now, the Scooby behind, the Jap thing going off into the distance, I’m cruising at 50.
I have the urge to go and show that Toy something to think about but I don’t really have the go in me, coming up to some road narrowing road works I hear more rumbling this time, thinking it was another Monday morning Muppet I turn my head to see Mr RSV!! Yay!
I love this guy, he rides to work everyday on the RSV scaring people and riding with me occasionally like nutters.
In his usual fashion he over takes, thumbs up and edges away. Nah, this time I’m coming with you.

So over the brow of this motorway bridge doing over a ton , over taking some vans, we catch up to that harley thingy.
We stop at the lights at the end of the carriage way, this leads to another one, so the guy on the chopper thing is still feeling like he has some kind of mean machine. We’ll see about that.
The RSV bumps off the lights, I’m behind the cruiser, as we progress up a slight hill on the carriage way I know this to be a dangerous spot to over take, you cant see much and it is has a slight bend to the right.
The RSV is almost gone, the adrenaline pumping I see the cruiser guy drop a cog and accelerate. I take a look back, then forwards, I drop it and nail the VFR to the red line from 2nd, then to 3rd then forth.
A BMW see’s my actions and gives a go but I’m not even going to give him the time of day.
At this point I begin to laugh while trying to hold on to the fucking thing, I realise my VFR is superior, I take the cruiser at around a ton, cut back in and get up to the RSV near the roundabout.
We near where we work (he works close by) the cruiser I can see in the distance, but he’s not trying anymore.

I pull into work, get inside and grab a coffee.

Bike’s are fucking ace Thumbs Up

That story could have been condensed into 1 line ffs

"Woke up, girlfriend pissed me off making too much noise so I went out on my VFRRRRRR pretending I'm rossi overtaking a super fast cruiser harley bike with my knee down, at redline, at 200mph... which was nice...."

Killa, iv had days like that. Nothing like getting out of bed at 5 in the morning, and still being dead when you come to the end of your road. When you get onto the wider road, open it up, you soon wake up, and are ready for a hard day at work...the thought of the ride home being the only thing that keeps you going!

I agree there's nothing like an early morning thrash to liven your spirits. Mr. Green

Bit of a boring story, you should be doing that everyday anyway. Wink Laughing

You're out of luck Killa, it seems all people want to read on here these days are polls about what style your pubic hair is in. Rolling Eyes

And you look like one as well because you walk with a limp Sad

I thought your story was pretty good Killa. Have you ever spoken to the guy on the RSV? To me the common bond between bikers is all down to that - Knowing you're having more fun than anyone will ever have in any car on uk roads. Nothing wrong with being a mentalist(as long as you don't do dodgy overtakes and don't get caught) Thumbs Up

I don’t make a habit of doing this sort of thing but if I didn’t, I’d own a car.
Crashes always have two sides to story, usually not the fault of the person telling it, bike crashes happen because people can’t judge.
Loved that this morning, just wanted to share it.

Oh well

Thats the thing with the bike, one day you can be in a really shatty mood, only really riding because you have to.. .after 2 minutes getting out of town.. cold, wet, no feeling in your hands, and belting allong thinking.. this is feckin ace Mr. Green it made my crappy weekend job bareable haveing the 30minute ride there and then back through twisty backroads... trouble is i'd be late all too often going the scenic route Razz

Mates going out tomorrow to finish off his tyres, @5am!.. my bike is currently exaustless and i have work to do tomorrow Sad
