After some searching i have found myself a well looked after (if a bit tatty from standing) cx500eurosport... anyone who dosen't know its an 80s lardy touring bike...
Don't expect the handleing will be as good as my current bike but my rideing is fairly sedaited 99% of the time...
Anyone else downgraded their bike (through not being able to handle the cost maybe?) and been truely glad of it?
( + anyone know good places to sell? admag? can't be doing with ebay scams e.t.c. ) ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |

One of the reasons I bought the MZ was because I was riding the GPZ everywhere at three figure speeds and was going to loose my licence sooner or later, needed something slower. I suppose that is a downgrade of a kind. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

blimeh, i'd sorta loke a 200vespa, just for (very) short trips.. as a main bike still more fun than no bike...
superdreams are ok, 250 might be worth looking at too if you havn't got many 70mph roads to deal with.. i'd have a cx or gt550 over one of them though.. when you say cheap how cheap are you after? depends how far your work is away...
SW- you mean the big mz? i'd have thought it was as fast... (have you got it all fixed and sorted yet?) ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |

Update...
Just sold my transalp.. put it on ebay at 11 last night, e-mail at 12, phoned the next day, they picked it up an hour ago (they had the trailers tyre explode on the motorway! hence the being very late!)
Feels very weird to have no bike in the garrage, very weird
Going to miss it more than i thought, but think the right thing was done..
Worst thing is the old fella i'm buying my new bike off is away till monday! so empty garrage till then!!!
Feel like i'm about to have the snip and just saw the nurse sharpening the scalple ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |
