Power valve HELP!! RS 125

Hi, i have a restricted Aprilia RS 125 and have decided to check for a power valve, i found it. So therefore came to the conclusion that it must be clogged up and dirty because the wires are connected.

Can anyone tell me how to clean it please? And im guessing it needs to be removed to be cleaned, if so how do i take it out because the battery is in the way!!

take out your battery and the holder then follow the rave cabel to the powervalve
undo the 2 srews at the sides which hold it in place,
take it out and clean it , u can just use a cloth i also filed my down just to get it extra clean and when u put it back in make sure its the right way Razz

Hi

It is possible to get in out without taking out the battery, etc, but if it is seized up then it will be a pig to get out and removing the battery holder, etc, will make the job easier.

Undo the 2 bolts holding it in place and it should pull out easily. In reality it will take ages of pulling it out a bit, and then pushing it back in repeatedly.

Ok, i have taken the battery and the battery holder out and undone the two screws. Now i have the valve still connected at both ends. Do i have to disconnect it now, if so how? Once i have done that, how do i clean it? Cheers
