bodge it.

lift the dust seal and put a ring of cotton wool around the stanchion then replace the dust seal.

lets you pass the MOT and fix the seal when you have more time Thumbs Up

Slacken nuts in top of forks, don't remove `em.

Slide dust seal out of lower section and shove it up the fork. Masking tape in place so u don't lose `em.

Bit of rope over a beam in the garage or similar round each handlebar. Hoik it up a good 8" off the floor.

Remove front wheel and axle.

Pop bucket under bottom of each fork. Open drain screw that should be on front face of each fork about 2" up from bottom. Let oil drain out. Pump lower section up n' down to encourage it.

Stick allen key up hole in bottom of fork, undo small bolt. Let rest of oil drain out.

Fully open tops, be prepared - they're sprung. Remove spacer and spring, making sure to note which way up spring was. It's only meant to go in one way round.

Pull bottom off fork.
Prise out old seal.
Pop in new seal (use a big socket to hammer it home - big enough NOT to hit the inner lip of the seal). Make sure you stick it in right way round.
Lube inner face of seal.
Slide bottom back on. Push dust seal back down. Put bolt back in bottom. Seal up bleed screw on front. Put front wheel / axle back in.

Pour required amount of forkoil in top of each fork whilst still hanging with forks fully extended. Use a ruler to measure from top of fork - memory says should come to 7cm from top of fork - but check this against manual. Put tops back on. Drop back down.

Done.

Sounds more complicated than it is - essential part is having summat to lift it up off the ground. Other than that it's actually REALLY easy.

If memory serves correctly, Haynes manual for the NS125RK states to use Automatic Transmission Fluid (ie: Transmission fluid for an automatic car) in the forks...

I would,nt go with out the oil.You could drain the forks and put engine oil
in instead. It is much thicker so put less in.
