 |
|
In Nov'04 I took out insurance with Bennetts for a 125cc bike.
In Feb'05 I bought a Bandit 600 and phoned my insurance company and had my insurance policy transferred to the new bike.
But today I phoned up to transfer my insurance once again for a sv650 and they said my policy doesn't let me upgrade above 600cc and I have to take out a new policy.
So I thought I'd phone around. One company offered me £326 for full comp with no ncb as I couldn't transfer the 7months of NCB to them, so I thought I'd should use Bennetts as they of course would be happy to transfer the accrued no claims.
Not only did they quote £160 more but they wouldn't transfer my 7 months across either, so have to start from 0 days ncb.
So a warning to anyone who's getting insurance, it's worth checking if theirs a cc limit on the policy, in case you decide to upgrade within the year.
Ranting over, paid insurance now looking forward to new SV650s ____________________ When riding fast, think fast. When riding slow.. speed up.

To be honest my new insurance is £326 FC, and I'll get £80 back from my current insurance policy when cancelled.
That gives me full comp on a SV650S for £250 when I've only been riding since Nov'04.
Thanks for the suggestion though ____________________ When riding fast, think fast. When riding slow.. speed up.

ebikewossname is over £130 more than my current policy with Roadsure.
I'll stick with what I have
£675 for a thunderace TPFT, 6 points CD30, and an at-fault accident in the last 3 years. 31 yrs old, in Cambridge, ungaraged, but alarmed, immobilised, locked and datatagged.
