One of your parts may be aftermarket or bent in a crash/drop, if any bits could be removed and hammered back into shape thats what i'd do
It may be that your brake needs adjusting badly (too much travel, the brake should go on right away, not after takeing up 2/3cm of play in the pedal)
Certainly didn't do it on my 97 cg and dosen't on the 78 model ive got either... ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |

How old is the bike?
I know on my 1990 CG the centre stand used to move when the rear brake was pressed. This was due to the 2 holes that the bolt holding the centre stand on with fits through been worn. This meant that there was sideways play when the brake was pressed causing the centre stand to move.
Sold the bike before I fixed the problem. ____________________ Suzuki RF 600 - The two wheeled Testarossa (Deceased)

Had exactlly that on my CB-1, you could weld a washer over the holes so there back to normal size.
Or you could angle grind the whole unit it off like I did. ____________________ Enjoy Life There's Plenty of Time to be Dead
