bike problems

on my zxr400 it wont rev above 2k even at full throttle with the air box on, once i take it off it will run ok any idea what this could be? maybe running too rich?

Check yer carbs. Jet size, needle setting, etc.

I'd check the carb slides aren't stuck (assuming the air filter is clean), get the carbs balanced and cleaned and also check that the jets aren't too big. If the bike revs well with the airbox off (when the airflow is less restricted) then it sounds like you are running rich with the airbox on.

Agree with above to check carbs, etc.

However, as a quickie can you see if the airbox isn't simply fouling your throttle line and/or fuel? Possibly it isn't anything close, but I've seen bikes stripped down for less
