I'd go for the R6 although I am slightly biased! |

It comes down to looks.
Why do you need a second opinion anyway? If you see a bike you like, buy it. Come to us for details of price mileage and stuff, so the experts can tell you if you got a good buy or not. You shouldn't need telling what bike to buy, it's a personal thing. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. Ride them both and see how you get on. I found the r6 a bit small and I found the gsxr slightly smashed off a salvage merchant in London....It looks a bit scuffed but goes like hell. Try and get test rides on them but failing that have a sit on both of them back to back if possible and see which fits you better as they are very different shapes. I don't feel right on a gixxer and R6 fits me a treat.
The finish is nowhere near as good on the gixxer but otherwise there is not much between them both will slap if provoked although the R6 is more known for it but a damper sorts that out a treat
I went for the R6 as i prefered the styling and it felt comfortable, i've not regretted it for a second. ____________________ Nothing gets the point across quite like a raised middle digit.

I was thinking about going for an R6 for my next bike. But then I sat on one in the local bike garage, and compared to my TT600, it felt like I was sitting on a tiny 125! It's so small! I then sat on a GSXR, and it felt bang on. I guess it's only because I'm used to the TT though. When it's time for me to upgrade, I'm just gonna take them both for a test ride and see which I like the most. Won't be for another year yet though - so I might go for the thou ____________________ Honda CBR600RR - 2004 |

They're both good but the Gixxer is slightly bigger and comes in better colours i think!

why dont you look for second hand ones of both and the first "good" bike you see an advert that appeals to you and go see it and then make an offer! that way you got more chance of finding a bike thats not overpriced and a bit of a bargin! either way youll have well nice bike!!!! ____________________ 99 RS125 --> 02 SV650s --> 03 Speed Four --> 92 RXS100 --> 93 CB400sf --> 01 CB600f Hornet |

well all i can say is i've got GSXR600 K1 and i love it, never ridden any other Sports 600 so can't really compare it to anything else.. saying that it's easy to ride, looks good, sounds good, seems reliable, easy to work on, etc etc..
I didn't want to get a 600 sports as it was a bit too cliche (boy passes test, boy buys typical sports 600 bike) but at the end of the day, who gives a kate moss if loads of folk have them.. surely that can only mean one thing, they're good bikes.. most of these bikes are very similar so it more or less comes down to make, looks etc. |

Go for the R6 it IS the better looking bike. Although theres very little difference between both bikes powerwise in the looks department the gixxer has nothing on the R6's curves.
