This is my little brother on his first bike. He got it last week and has already cleaned and polished it a number of times. He is currently 15 but is doing his CBT on his birthday on the 20th of August. I am a little worried about him being out on a bike but also really happy for him as I know it is a buzz. Just thought I would share it with you all.

It could have been worse, he could have been a ped boi. You also have to be quite sure about your masculinity to ride a pink bike.

you should jack the rear of that bike up they look so much better them dt's with the suspension raised abit. Don't look such a fool on one if your tall then. All you need to do (I think) is fit a longer shock is all I think you need to do? (monoshock?)

I am looking forward to visiting him so I can have a go on it myself. Will mention putting new shocks on it, might be worth doing for a little bit of height. He is around 6 ft 5 so looks quite big on it but says it feels fine to him. His aim is to take his test and go on a motorbiking tour of Europe with mum and dad. My brother is officially cool in my books.

He does look a bit big for that thing, but saying that... smaller bikes are, well... smaller. Aint they? Wink

I remember my poor NSR, god i felt like a giant on that thing.

Still, good luck with his CBT! Make sure he takes it easy, the first day after passing is always the most dangerous. He looks like a sensible lad though, especially with the cleaning and polishing allready Smile

His dad's a motorcycle instructor so he will have no choice but to ride properly. I knew to do the safety stand long before I learnt to ride a bike, he drummed it into me from an early age. As for hills my brother lives on the edge of Dartmoor so he should have plenty of fun with it.

I used to like pink a while back. I used to get the piss taken out of me for having a pink slogan on my Vans Tshirt.

Then "Emo" hit the scene, and all the "piss takers" became Emo boys, and all wear pink tops and kiss eachother. Rolling Eyes

the pink looks fine to me, look nice against a black tank it's that tank and the decals on it that look like a swedish kids learning channel logo that makes it look abit iffy.

with my friend on the back, down a very big hill with the engine about to pack in we were doing an indicated 50mph. Fun bikes but down on power compared to the newer 50's. Anyway I really like it, good luck to him!

I can't understand why so many people are buying aprilla 50's and 125's for 4/5 times the price of these that are also 4/5 times more unreliable. good engines for what it is in those old yamahas and cheap/easy to fix.
