with my test this thursday (11/08/05) and having put down a deposit on a mar 2005 honda cbf 600 abs, i decided to see how much my insurance would jump up. (from a cg125)

I rang the same company i have insured my cg125 with.....the cg is a group 3 and the cbf is a group 11....having already paid the insurance company £96 for tpft in June i asked them how much it would cost to change up bikes ...if......if........I pass my test on thursday..................

well..........i was sort of thinking about £250-£300ish.......but.......but..........she came back to me and said it would cost me an extra £113 to insure the cbf......... you could have knocked me down with an indudstrial sander...i was mega pleased.........

also....on thursday morning i am having a 2 hour lesson with a professional outfit before i do my test...the guy is going to show me the route and stuff.........£35 for a 2 hour lesson..........

well.....go on then folks.............give a guy a break......wish me luck and i'll tell you about the three piece oxford luggage set i got.............

I had my NSR, and then I did DAS and passed first time.

My insurance never moved - I would've expected it to drop a fair bit.

Bastards.

If you are any of those ages above, why would you need restriction? you shouldn't have a restricted a2 license.

ah mr.fellony, but I forgot to tell you ....I am in Northern Ireland....and as well as being a funny wee country ....it has funny wee rules , different to the "mainland"....oh yes.......theres no such thing as "das" or "aas"....no....no....

you have to restrict your bike for two years regardless of your age....

one plus though, there is no such thing as "cbt" either...

whats "cbt" was the reply when I rang the DSA over here to enquire about the procedure for taking your motorcycle practical test.........

hahahaha...well, i have my test tomorrow at 3:50....watch this space , i will bring tidings .....good or bad....wish me luck...

ride safe........
