a bit of stopper and a good filler primer and it'll be perfect. Very Happy

it's a kind of filler that you can rub down by wet flatting,it fills all the tiny inperfection's.

What do you need to plastic weld?

Is it expensive?

Basically something to melt the plastic and merge the 2 pieces together, preferably with something to melt some extra plastic in to replace the stuff that goes up in smoke.

You can do a basic attempt with a soldering iron. However the results will not be strong and it stinks while you are doing it (and the fumes are probably poisonous).

All the best

Keith

I left my soldering iron on a block of polystyrene in the shed once, whilst I went to do something. It was turned on.

After going back in and trying to turn it off, I couldn't see clearly for the next 15 minutes, and I was coughing for the rest of the day Embarassed

Not reccomended...

Jon

I've done it using a soldering iron and the spare bits from an Airfix kit, needs a bit of practise though. I'm sure there are better ways.

Last thing I did was the dogs water bowl while out camping, used a tent peg and the gas stove, didn't last long, but got the dog home Mr. Green
