My GPZ500S seems to have developed a bit of a problem in thefront end. At around 50mph the bars shake, now you cannot really feel this unless you let your hands off the bars and if you do the bars shake quite vioilently. Not fully tank slapping but maybe a good half turn anyway. I have checked the yoke forks wheels etc and nothing is lose, fork seals were replaced recently and so on. Can't think what it could be. Any ideas?

Balance weight may have came off the wheel.
Bearings could be gone/going.
Warped disk.
Ding in the wheel.
Could always try heavier bar ends.

IIRC, the tyres on a GPZ really want replacing by the time they've worn down to 2 mm. For some reason, the handling is really cocked up with a worn tyre.

Just another vote for checking the tyres - that's the wear and the pressure. It's surprising how a little variation in pressure can make a big difference on the road. HTH Thumbs Up
