I used it on a fuel tank. Did the job. Took a fair while, but I had 20 years worth of bodged resprays to work through.

I used to use it all the while on steel and aluminium mountain-bike frames, it used to work a treat.

I'd keep it off any plastics though.

Keep it off your skin aswell! evil stuff!

Wear gloves and dab it on with a big brush that you can afford to wreck.
Keep it away from plastic rubber and fibreglass then scrape it all off.
You can use wire wool or a wire brush and only when you have scraped off all you can, otherwise you just gunge it up and splatter it all over yourself (speaks from expirence Laughing )

I used it to strip the old paint from the torque arm for my rear brake before I re-painted it. It was only a small area, but it worked well. I just sloshed a load of it on, left it a few minutes to do whatever chemical nastiness it does, then scraped if off with paint scraper. After a quick rinse and going over with a Scotchbrite pad to get off the bits I had missed it had worked nicely.

i started this yesturday! Made progress today started stripping the paint of the engine which someone probably spent ages doing but it doesnt look good!

Only done one coat so theres still paint left on which i will try to finish tomorrow.

Whats the best thing to scrape the paint off with, ive used a toothbrush for getting into little places.

wire brush, steel wool, plastic scrapers etc, helps if ya cover the stripper with tin foil which stops it drying out so it works longer/better.
I have some really spiffy carbon/carbon scrapers made from the tail of an F117 that work quite well Smile

Only experience of Nitromors I have had was when a lad that I used to work with painted the interior walls of a portacabin with emulsion and got more paint on the floor than the walls. He then decided to clean the floor and poured Nitromors on the VINYL floor and used an industrial floor buffer to spread most of the floor all over the newly painted walls. Absolute classic.

Used it to take the paint off wheels and a swingarm, Works really well and has never needed more than 2 coats (although the 2nd coat is only applied to small areas)
