I went out for a blast today, and took some photos whilst I was at it. As is ever the way, I took some really nice ones before it occured to me that my camera was on microscopic rather than macroscopic focus... Doh! Sorry it's a bit dirty.

The rather obvious dent in the tank is from my knee when I crashed.

Note the broken tacho and fubarred brake light switch. The subframe isn't bent, the mud guard is just squint.

I'm always amazed you're so knowledgable on the biking subject in general, and contribute so much to the forum, when you ride that, albeit with L plates!

Does the bike get out much, I'm sure whenever you post about it there's something wrong with it..

I normally put 50-100 miles each weekend on it, plus a bit more if I can get out during the week. Smile All these things wrong with it are always little things, not normally things which would stop me riding, just annoying. There's about 3000 miles or so on it just now in about 10 months. It certainly doesn't mean I don't learn new stuff all the time and don't still make very stupid mistakes now and again.

This degree stuff did teach me some things along the way. Wink Constantly having to tighten nuts and bolts, rewire bits and pieces, replace things, and generally bodge stuff to keep it working fine make growing knowledge of how bikes are put together not very difficult, especially as I've no breakdown cover. Whistle This bike is only 18 months old too. Confused

As for the test, I'll be 21 in three weeks and finished uni! Dance! I'll hopefully get my DAS sorted by July sometime, if I'm lucky I can get a proper bike and not miss out on the August good weather.

That would be because it's a direct copy of the CM125, but with a CG125 engine, suitably butchered to fit two exhausts. Laughing

I've not had the head off to see, but the prospect of having a greater exhaust valve area than inlet valve area is rather a peculiar one.

Bet it has a single exhaust valve going up two passages out to the exhausts. My CB had twin exhausts, but then it has two cylinders...

Great bike Fergus (even though I've seen it lots anyway). Roll on full license and big bike Smile

Don't forget the anodised valve caps, maybe some tyreflies..

This bike is a rider's bike, not a tart's bike.

The arrow LED indies suit your bike, but certainly wouldn't suit this.

Don't forget your 170cc big bore kit, arrow exhaust, 30mm carb, sports chain, neons and single seat. Wink


Looks rather nice, not really my cup of tea, but I wouldn't mind using it as a back-up etc. Can't really miss the huge dent in the tank though can you. Razz

My bike also has a dent/gouge in the tank. But that was from the exhaust pipe melting through it. Cable ties are always coming in handy though.

Nice bike.

Do your DAS then get a Fireblade!!

Yeah because those god's of the road's on Jap 4's would never contemplate such a thing, let alone carry it through. God forbid those on Italian machinery, or even a BMW! Rolling Eyes

A bikes a bikes a bike. You twist the throttle it goes forward, end of (at it's extreme basics before people start quoting from motorcycling engineering articles). This seem's an increasingly difficult subject for people to grasp for some reason.
