Could be good to have a part of the profile to specify what bike(s) you have.

Would be good for owners to ask other owners if "that ticking noise is normal" of for modification ideas.

Also stats could be pulled from this to find out what really are the most common bikes, etc.

Ratings would be an easy step up from there...but that's probably outside the scope of the forum.

I agree. I've often wondered what bike someone's got, and gone into their profile, but it's not there unless they've put it in as part of their personal information.

Surely that's the whole point of having a profile section - if you can be bothered to fill it in you can tell fellow BCF'ers anything you like about yourself.

It's just apathy that stops people actually filling out their Profile with their personal details/what bike they have/any mods they've done, etc.

Most other bike/car sites use the same idea. It's just a little thing but it can often help.

i was thinking of fields that you fill in, in your profile and there being a search of those fields to come up with people that have/or do own the same bike as you

Hmmm... I'm looking to steal a 2005 Gixxer thou.... in the region of Stoke....

*goes to search BCF* Confused

Probably just left as it is IMO. Most people have their bikes in the profile/sig/whatever if they want people to know anyway.

It's up to you if you let people know where you live, and generally they'd be listed as friends and therefore trusted.

It would be a lot easier to search on. I'm not sure if sigs or the profile pages are included in the search...unless you're using Google of course! Laughing

I'm not gonna sift through 9,838 profiles to find out who else has got a Hornet!
