Bit of an odd one this and sort of in 2 bits. First, does anyone know who does motorcycle training for kids. Or if there are any activity/adventure holiday companies who do this.

The only one I've come across is B.U.M.P.Y. Been there and it is good but it is popular so gets booked up. That means a bit of planning so it can't be a spur of the moment decision to go. The only other thing would be a holiday for next year, as I came across BMW training for kids (but that's in Germany, would prefer UK based to start). I have had a google but from what I gather of kids holidays motorsport is either go karts or quad bikes. Would prefer a recommendation for a place that actually uses motorbikes.

The other problem is as I haven't got my own field if I get the kids an offroad bike (thinking Yamaha PW80 of one of the Kawasaki KX) how do you go about using them. Do I really need to take the plunge and get a trailer and all the other associated stuff (like swapping the sporty car for one with a tow bar Shocked) and find an off road centre?.

Thanks in anticipation of your help Thumbs Up

I think the Ron Haslam race school, do a school for 12 year olds and up. I don't know if this is what your looking for, it's only for two hours though.

If you go get the off road bikes, I should imagine borrowing a van may be a way to go, unless you know a generous mate with a tow bar.

Ahhhh I remember the good old days when I was a young scallie! Down the local school field with a CR125 learning to ride, older kids trying to rob us, the police chasing us about on their DT's and parents complaining about the noise!

Thanks for the link and info. Looks like a 2 hour track day.

I will let them do something like that when a bit more experienced as it should give more confidence. We're still at the basics stage at the moment so want to make it fun without worring about gears, racing lines, etc.

Any other responses and suggestions appreciated Thumbs Up

Hi

Cannot find anything (although numerous places do Early Drive schemes in cars). These people might be worth a try:-

All the best

If you start with an x-sport style crosser then you can pretty much chuck them in a (decent sized) car boot - korn could three in his mondeo, though the boot wouldn't close, so had to be tied down.
