On a similar theme, ive located a GSX-R 750 G frame and am soon to start to make a 7/11.

Why use one of the worst handleing frames? L or M works so much better and RK is best.

I'm sure I read somewhere that a ZXR750 lump slots straight into the 400 frame, obviously there'd be a a few mods but f**k me that'd be quick.

No problem mate. If you pull it off, let me know.

If it works I was thinking of just buying a lump when my 33bhp licence runs out and chucking that in. Saves me buying a new bike altogether and it would be seriously quick and handle like a dream.

It's no wonder then that the frame broke. Roughly how much lighter over a standard blade would it have been?

Don't know. The Blade is fairly light so maybe not much ligther than a blade.

Isn't it the ZZR600 engine that slots into the ZXR400 frame with ease?

hey yeah the zzr600 engine does fit in, i know this as i have offered a broken zzr600 engine up to it and it would have fitted fine i'l have to just try a few different engines see which i'l do, Smile

I'm always wary of what would happen to the handling after adding an engine that weighs probably half as much again as the original lump... Smile

Been done, there was one on eBay last year (1998 blade engine), had a custom cobra paint job, went for about £3000. Cool

Most of the poor handling is down to the old 18" cart wheels fitted as original. Since I have 17" wheels its not so much of an issue, and L&M frames are lardbuckets.

And the rest is down to the flexible frame.

As to a 750L/M frame...

Oh the handling sir. Oh and the suspension. Oh and the removable top rear shock mount to make jacking easier. Oh and the ability to take a reasonable size rear wheel without mods. Oh and the stiffness oh the stiffness sir.

my guess is it's a racing seat you can get it from demon tweeks and as you can see they look the dog's bollocks...means you can't carry pillions tho Razz

It's custom made for the zxr400, I can give you the number of the man who makes it if you want one.

I got the blueflame can off a mate, It's on a full nassert system.


Can on it's own won't giver performance but it is loud.

They cost like £300 new to fit a zxr400 pipe. Confused Shocked
