De-Restrict RS125

Hi, I want to make sure i my rs is is fully derestricted, can you tell me where the restrictors are, how to remove them and what parts would help.

If i slapped on a K&N would this make a difference and also what jets would i need?

What year is your bike? Most bikes are restricted by means of a powervalve, In the picture below its on the right hand side of the coolant reservoir. (top of the picture) its a goldy colour.

Also, how fast is the bike, a restricted one will only do about 85mph.

kk this is how you tell if you have a powervalve or not without taking it apart.

first turn it on and warm it up (although this isnt essential) then rev it to about 3500rpm and when it falls to 2500 there should be a slight clicking noise, this is the sound of the powervalve opening, when you rev it up past 2500rpm you will hear the same noise of the powervalve closing.

also when riding when you get to 8000rpm it should suddendly have lots more power suddendly.

dont think there are any other restrictions. mine can fully de-restricted when i brought it

Hey, i dont know how fast it goes yet as i am still running in the new cylinder, i will tell you when it is run in. Do I connect the powervalve to derestrict it. The power valve is currently connected.

How much difference does a sports exhaust make?
