Go round a roundabout in circles. Find a good one and keep going faster and faster. When ya tread has reached the edge take a break.
The next time you go round it ass back in the seat and do ya leaning, as you lean move your knee round. Withing a few laps it should touch down! When it does get someone to take a picture, and dont post it unless it is a peg down too! ____________________ 05 ZX10R, (**05 WKR) |

yeah it was the track photographer. I have been trying to move my arse a bit more after seeing these pics but I think its just going to take a bit of getting used to. Feels a bit wobbly at the moment but I've only been riding 6 months so theres plenty of time to get me knee down.
Hopefully we will be doing rockingham early next year ! (fingers crossed) ____________________ **************Honda CBR 600 FR***********

I've been practicing my hanging off style on the road.
I can get my knee down fine etc (I do club racing, badly) but I've realised that I tend to keep my torso angled over the tank, rather than hanging that off at well.
I never seem to do it if I think about it in a race - concentrating on too many other things.
By doing it on the road it's a bit more instinctual when I'm on track.
Also, try to keep your arms parrallel to the ground, so they are bent at the elbow.
Straight arms limit movement and make the bike harder to control.
You also need to make sure you are fairly relaxed - when knee down you should be able to flap your arms (chicken style ) while keeping the same line. |

Flapping just proves to yourself you are relaxed - if you can't then you know you need to relax more .
to get an idea of the difference straight and correctly position arms make, go along a straight (empty) road.
Hold your arms straight and wiggle the bars (so you do a little slalom.) Now do the same with your arms properly parrallel to the road - you should find a rather big difference in the speed of steering and thus the force needed to move the bike. |

I will definitely give that a try, I did do that a bit with counter steering and saw what a big difference that made which has made some difference when cornering but still along way to go before im any good at counter steering, I guess practice makes perfect ____________________ **************Honda CBR 600 FR***********

snake ! your already counter steering! if you go round a corner on a bike you`ve got to ! (unless your going round very slowly) all you got to do is push a bit harder on the inside bar, if you scoot your arse back on the seat a bit this will bring your body down a bit further while keeping weight over the front wheel (so your back is still straight if you`ve got back probs) also if you drop your inside shoulder as you go into the corner this will help with the counter steering ____________________ they say life begins at 40 but i think it begins at 140 !!!!!!!
