First Crash

Just had my first crash on my rs125, just slowing down to a roundabout on my front brake and i go over some oil and i loose my front wheel. Now just last week they were having heavy Maintenance on that very area you know redoing the pipes or somethink, and i heard that you can sue the council from a friend, as i dont realy want to spend a load of money on new fairings, indicators and a gear leaver. and i was wondring whether someone could tell me if that was true.

P.S i am alright just a few scratches on the knee caps and pelvis.

speak to the insurance and make sure you have legal cover first. you may be able to. they'd be the ones to ask.

good your ok. rs125's are quite cheap to repair "on the cheap".
use ebay and breakers to replace parts (probably the handlebar bent at the yoke part - about £10 2nd hand, and maybe levers)

so use ebay and try these....

while you are thinking whether to sue or not, inform police or council of the oil so it can get cleaned up so no one else comes off on it.

If its oil i dont reckon its councils responsibility, so ask police to clear it up as it could cause more accidents.

yea cant seeing you getting much, i came off my RS after a week of having it and it broke my heart, was minor like yours but was perfect before i did Crying or Very sad

just get it working and dont worry about the fairings too much, Thumbs Up

I vaguely remember hearing something about only being able to claim damages after having an accident on an oil spill etc. if it has already been reported and was not dealt with within a certain time.

That would mean the police or whoever failed in their duty to have it cleaned up. You can hardly hold them responsable for an oil spill they don't know is there.
