It's basically 1/2 of an RGV250 motor, and thus it has the same powervalve issue's, causing major engine damage when they fail. They are a nice looking sports 125, (IMO nicer than an NSR) and were only made until 96, so they are cheap now. if i was going to buy one id budget for an immediate engine rebuild, to get peice of mind so that your less likely to face an expensive parts bill later on.

im 21 in january and im getting a zxr400 but for now i gotta have a 125, there good for gettin to know how to ride on.

I race motocross bikes and have been for 8 years. I just aint used to the road. If you stack a cheapo 125 ur not gonna end up cryin over it. Where as some ppl get the gsxr600`s and the bigbikes and restrict them. Whats the point? stack that and ur fucked plus your not gettin half the power and they weigh more so they not as agile as a 125, plus insurance is a bomb. Im talking about when the big bikes have 33bhp kits on them btw Very Happy

I like my 2 stroke but it has cost me quite a lot on this and that this year.

Admittedly I bought it in a bit of a state and am not confidant enough to do much work on it myself.

You will need to get your hands dirty if you own a 2 stroke, as even I have learnt to clean my spark plug, clean my powervalve and mess about with the indicator wiring to fix the loose connection.

i wouldnt get a 2stroke to pull you over to janary, for a start they like petrol a lot compared to 4 strokes, they also eat lots of fully sythetic oil and at £10.50 a liter this can be annoying! i have spend over £600 when i blew the engine and lots of other little things,

if you were having it for a year then would say yes but 3 months i would be tempted to get a zxr400 and play around with it looking good for january, if you really need a bike get a CG125 as if you treat it well you could see it for about what you paid!
