Any recomend some nice earphones that dont hurt when you get your helmet ?

I forget the details, but you can get some earphones that are half ear plug and half earphone. Theres also some guides on the net on how to modify them with better quality ear plugs as well.

i wear headphones abot 60% time i ride my bike, helps me concentrate and i can still notice everything around me, in fact if im not listening i can go into daydreams which isnt good!lol

I find it good for my commute in the mornings not much traffica at 7 and been half asleep i find it wakes me up more.

yea it really helps doesnt it? i never wear them when out with outer bikes though,

really good if in a line of slow traffic along a road hard to overtake so you can just take it easy and have some music to keep you awake.

I used to always listen to music whilst riding (I don't bother now though, I find a race can sounds nicer ), and I went through many a pair of headphones before I found some good ones. Its quite embarrassing getting off your bike in a busy town centre, around loads of people & not being able to get your helmet off because your ears are stuck because of some oversized earphones!

But anyway, I found some headphones in Curry's that turned out to be rather good. I don't know the exact model but they were Philips ones and they are the type that hook around your ear.

*EDIT* - I just realised this post is rather pointless & unhelpful. Sorry to anyone who has read it.

i tryed hock around the ear and found them really bad, although my ones were sonys, these sonys are the ones i use but i wouldnt recomend as sound and volume are excellent but the rubber around the wire has peeled off and they look quite a state, quility is still great though!

I have a pair of JVC ones I use for when I'm on the bikes. I don't know the model number (can't find it anywhere on them), however they are more like ear plugs than earphones, with soft rubber bits that go in your ear (you get a choice of 3 sizes). The mian part of each ear phone is also soft rubber, so when you put your helmet on you don't notice they are there.

Like I said, I can't remember when model they are, but I got them from Dixons and the come in either Blue (for boys) or pink (for girls).

Sony ex-71's are great, as has been said, part earphone, part earlug. Excellent sound & ouside noise reduction. Or if you prefer the ones that go over the ear, then the ex-81's are that kind.

Sony MDR-EX71SL Headphones

Can't recommend those enough. They fit directly into your ear canal and leave nothing to rub up against your head or the helmet liner. The only clue that they're in is the lack of wind noise reaching your ears and the music in it's place.

I've had my current pair for nearly a year and a bit over 13,000 miles. Best of luck.
