ok as it getting colder and my trainers are in a really bad state i have decided i need some boots urgently, i would like to spend £50-100 on them.

i really like Sidi Vertigo boots (seen them £130 cheapest on web so a little out of price range but could streah it a bit for them)

anyone recommend any others?mainly need to keep my feet warm!!lol

I use a pair of 'OXTAR TCS' and i've seen them for around £100 now, only problem is they squeek like hell from new and they need attacking with chain lube.......NOT KY jelly as NSR kid will try and tell you.

I've got oxtar's too, first day I took the NSR to college I tried wearing them just as casual shoes - the squeaking put an end to that plan though.. lol.

Otherwise really comfy and they look the biz Thumbs Up Mine were £99 reduced in a sale.

first boots i bought were frank thomas H20002 aqua pro sport boot and they leaked within the first week....took them back and got frank thomas H20012 apollo aqua and they were alright for about 6 months then they started to leak as well....just had them exchanged for (believe or not) another pair of frank thomas. this time its the H20019 aqua pro strike and so far (touch wood) they've stayed dry and pretty warm as well....they're about £100 in most places but if my post hasn't put you off frank thomas boots then give them a go Smile

Personally I like Sidi Vertigo Corsa, as the extra clips make it alot more comfortable over the normal Vertigo. Also, the ceramic toe sliders don't wear down in 2 seconds, and leave a cool white mark on the road. Wink

Sidi Vertigos are good, but if you getting off ebay check you get a warranty/guarantee, as I heard a few other people having problems with a vent or something. May be nothing to worry about, but best to keep it in mind. Had mine for a month now, look and feel good. Thumbs Up

Before that had a £50 pair of Blitz boots. Lasted two years / best part of 20,000 miles, two offs and kept waterproof.

I've got sidi Vertigo's and as far as fashion goes they are one of the best...BUT if you are wanting boots to be warm and waterproof then they are not the one's for you. They are essentially a summer sports boot and whilst you can cope with making them warmer by putting on two pairs of socks, if it rains all the vents leak and there is no inside flap for the zip.

I'd agree with 'Extreme3d'. The Sidi's are a great boot but certainly don't make for great winter-wear. They aren't waterproof, and aren't going to be that warm either. You could wear extra socks under them, but then come next summer, they're going to be baggier than mC Hammer's trousers. Sad

I love mine, but also have a pair of £50 Akito's for winter/wet use.
