Hi everybody, hope someone can help me with this.

Ive bought a RG125F for £225. The bike is mint apart from it was hard to start and smoked quite a lot. The last owner had have a new barrel/ piston etc fitted and run it in.

The smoking was easily sorted as the Oil pump has set way to high, i assume to aid the running in of the new piston and barrel. I have adjusted it and good stuff the smoke is as normal for a 2 stroke.

The problem i have now is i seem to have a leak coming from the oil pump. It only leaks when on the side stand, or maybe just leaks faster so its more noticable.

The only thing i can think of and see thats a little worn is the small oil pump bleeding screw, i was to replace it but everywhere i try tells me they dont sell just the bleed screw by itself only the whole oil pump??

Does anyone know where i can get said screw and will an oil pump off a 1992 RG125 Wolf fit the RGF. As far as i know they are the same bike just without the front fairing and a different headlight.

Any help would be appreciated

Many Thanks in advance

Hi

Firstly, I thought the faired one had a banana swinging arm while the Wolf version had the straight swinging arm yours is fitted with. Might be that someone has already been swapping bits around.

Not sure on the exact design of the pump and the bleed screw but I would expect it to just be a normal small bolt. However I would expect it to have some kind of sealing washer fitted. Could just be it needs a new fibre washer.

All the best

Keith

Thanks Keith, Theres not one there so ill put one one and see if it helps.

The swingarm is banana shaped on the exhaust side, and straight on the chain/sprocket side.

Not my bike but an example of the swing arm.

Hi

Thought the banana arms on those were bigger on the left. Oh well.

Not sure I would want to use instand gasket even there. Too much chance of a bit getting into the pump when you fit it and blocking the pipes (only a low pressure pump).

All the best

Keith
