bike keys lost??

i lost my keys in college today and i dont have a spare set!

its a daelim so no dealers around, where do i go? and how much is it likely to cost?

Do you have the numbers inscribed onto the key at all? (I hope everyone does)

If not, you're looking at a minimum of £100 new, especially for a bike like a daelim. Best to ring around breakers though, get biketrader and get phoning mate. Have seen full locksets go for less than £50 before.

If you want a new set, try and find the daelim website in the uk and find a list of the authorized dealers. Then give one of them a phone.

my mate is lending me his bike for the meantime, how do i go about jimmying the seat open without causing any damage as i need to get my helmet

spent ages at college looking, lost property, all your classes, common room, spend like 4 hours looking, better than £100 and no bike for a while

if you found it after 4 hours like getting paid £25ph if you think about it

I would imagine you could replace it with a lock from another bike if youre willing to resolder and whatnot (then just buy any roughly-correct lock off ebay).

my throttle cable is from a honda, so im guessing the ignition will be similar too

Make sure you're insured on your mates bike. And the ignition barrel should have a number on it which you can order a new key with, you'll usually have to remove the barrel or at least the panels around it.

be glad you didnt lose it with your lock keys on there as well

If you can get the ignition barrel off, you can take it to auto key specialists that will cut you a new key.

Alternatively, if you pay a bit extra they should come and take it off for you.

It cost about £60 for two sets of keys from one such person for Laura's CBR (look in the yellow pages). We took the ignition barrel to the bloke's house, but it was on a Sunday.

There is a God. I came on here, feeling like a right wally cos I've lost the keys to my cbr125, the first one I lost ages ago (along with the wee yoke with the numbers on)
Now I can't find my spare.

I have had the chain cut off. I thank the Lord the disk lock wasn't on it.

Anyway, was wondering what to do.

The bike is an 04cbr 125, will honda have a record of the key number?
