Having not looked at it since the machine was bought, I took it to pieces today. The foam element was mostly missing, lying in a pile behind the gauze filter. Oddly, the sparkplug was showing it running rather rich if anything. Confused

Anyway, I know where one of the gauze filters goes, and it's obvious where the foam filter goes, so where does the second filter go? It was floating about between the two, not slotted into anything. Surely the foam won't be pulled to shreds in quite the same way if there is a gauze filter immediately before it? I can't really believe it is supposed to go where I found it; the slot for the gauze filter isn't big enough for two.

On my cg the second gauze filter sits directly in front of the foam air filter, both gauze filters should be placed on the carb side of the foam. You should be able to position the loose gauze filter in the slot with your foam air filter.

Hope this helps...
