 |
|
I know its not a bike but whenever i put my car into reverse it makes kind of like a crunching noise. Sometimes it doesn't say i put it into reverse and it makes the noise i can then take it out and into neutral then back into reverse and it will be ok (with clutch down all the time)
Not sure what it is as its not a very health noise. My friend said it might be something to do with the rods whatever that is.
Sometimes it doesn't even go into reverse. All the other gears are fine. |

I 'think' it's something to do with the the sprockets and the gubbin's in the gearbox rotating one way. Then when you put the car in reverse, they grind against each other before changing direction. That's why it usually happens when reversing into a parking space etc. ____________________ Like a Yorkie - I'm not for the girls |

Piece of piss to adjust a clutch... i assume its a cable operated clutch if so u can either adjust it where it goes onto the engine usually very low down on the side of the engine. (pretty much same as a bike clutch)...... Or u might be able to adjust it on the back of the pedal... but involves putting ur head in on a weird angle n looking up its easy enuff done tho m8 |

I will give the clutch a fiddle tomorrow if my back is feeling better, if not i'll get klause to do it.
If that doesn't work then i'll have to just leave it.
My car is cool. |

You're not one of these scallies who puts it into reverse whilst it's still going forwards, are you?
I've heard quite a few cars do this, it's just something that happens IMO, though I suppose it's a sign of gearbox wear. |
