Is it the MCN Bike Weekend at Butlins you're talking about? Dates are 24-27 March and 13-16 October. They sometimes involve some tracktime at Cadwell.

I went last year in October and it was a good laugh (if expensive), especially if you can get a few people together! Might be interested Thumbs Up

Ah yes that would be it. March it is then!!! From what my uncle said it sounds awesome!

It was pretty reasonable when I went (have a look at the link for some of the pictures), and there is an excellent road from Boston (where my brother lives) to Skegness.

Unfortunately, the plod were out in force pulling over loads of bikes on the Saturday. They didn't even hide and just parked up outside the Butlins entrance! Evil or Very Mad Thumbs Down

Rub the "not road legal" stamp out Wink

Or as a friendly chap in a garage said, you can remove the piece that the stamp is on, turn it inside out and turn it around so it faces the bottom as well Laughing Somthing like that anyway Thumbs Up Wink

Hi

Been to the one early in the year for the past few years. Probably going again next year.

Some of the room are a touch, err, basic. Probably worth paying the extra for the silver accomodation.

The track time seemed pretty good the first few years. Last year they were only letting people out for about 3 laps at a time. This year they had no track time at all (have a feeling that too many people were crashing so they were giving up on it).

Food is a bit school dinnerish but better than self catering. Other food on site is a tad expensive (the Pizzas we ordered last year were frighteningly expensive).

Generally there are free dyno runs as well, but be prepared to queue up for ages (like most of the day).

Some of the stunt shows are pretty good. Some of the bands were very good (not sure who is on this coming year).

All the best

Keith

Hi

For some idea of how many people crashed during their brief moment of track time.

https://www.alfa-pages.co.uk/TempPicture/Img_8219.jpg

And they crashed seperatly, just that one did it before the other had even got back to their bike.

All the best

Keith

Im signed up, me and a mate got the last available room. Its 'silver' so im guessing it doesnt have metal bunk beds but Im not so sure yet Confused

Will be my first time and I think we will end up going in the car, so Ill have to bring my jacket to look authentic Embarassed

Whos definately going? Do we have BCF list or anything?

Hi

The basic accomodation is a bit poor. Silver accomodation is fine. Not sure you get anything worthwhile extra with the gold accomodation.

All the best

Thursday afternoon? Be a long wait outside the gate!

We will probably arrive mid afternoon on the Friday.
