Got an s800 I think it is. Pretty happy with it. Although must admit it's my first lid so don't have much to copmare it to. Had it for about 9 months and seems to be doing well.
Only down side was I lost the chin guard out of it after like 4 weeks and went back to the shop to get a new one and they said they dont import that part and cant get me another. SO gets a bit draughty in the winter months. Not a helmet issue though.
It also pretty quiet even at speed, but the vents tend not to do hell of a lot.
Good buy for the price still I reckon.

Im in Australia by the way.

i almost brought a shark a couple of months ago and saw them and they looked ok but poeple say the visor breaks easily and quite drafty,

in the end i got a Shoei for £250 which is a hell of a lot but i dont like to save money with my head, just go to a shop and try it on and see what you think! Thumbs Up

Whatever you do go to a shop, you need it to fit right so not over the interenet or you could be sneaky and try it on in the shope and find right size and then order off interenet, bit out of order though!

Shark = Awesome.

These are fantastic helmets and you may be able to find one cheap at the moment as they have just changed the UK importer. Hence the old importer is selling off lids cheap.

Hmm, I don't know where you got that information from? Confused Shark visors are top notch. Seriously, they are about 3mill thick! You can pretty much bend them backwards over your leg and they still wont break.

I think Shark is the only helmet bar Arai that give a full 5 year warranty. Thumbs Up

This is what i've got. Now with a nice black visor Very Happy

Best helmet by far that i've ever had Thumbs Up

I have a Shark S500 and it is reasonably drafty underneath the chin part up and also, my visor is broken. Well not specifically the visor, more the clip broke off which holds the visor to the helmet.

I'm seriously entertaining the thought of purchasing this fine piece of equipment: https://www.tonker.com/images/products/Shark_S800_Fusion_Tec_BKM.jpg

I like the matte black look as well as the simplistic tribal pattern. Also, the idea of having something different, as I've not seen any fellow riders wearing them, is quite appealing. Oh, and I can't afford a gloss black AGV Ti-Tech. Brick Wall

i wouldn't think of it as a case of not being able to afford something.

if you like the helment, if it fits and it's from a rebutable company.

get it, no matter how much it costs and you won't regret it.

P.S was speakin to my AGV sales rep out here and he says it's not worth splashing out on a ti tech. the GP Pros are much better built, have better ventilation and you don't get buffeted by the wind AT ALL due to the bump down near your neck. top quality here's a pic of mine

Had a couple of Shark lids, they're OK. Specially for the money. Much better than say Nitro. You can get a Shoei for around £200 though. Much better lids.

Just found this beauty for a mere $230 American! A steal compared to the $300 regular price. If there's still any left on Monday, it's mine.

I use a Shoei Z-One as my main helmet. I have tried Shark helmets on in the shops but on my head they felt really uncomfortable in comparison. Maybe they are not compatible with my 'head shape', but I do generally believe that you get what you pay for at the end of the day. This is not to say Shark helmets are not good, they just don't cut it for me.

Any V-Flyer owners have home photos of their helmets? I'm curious to see whaqt the venting is like on the back of the helmet.

If on a budget I found them not too bad (had an S600 Concept a couple of years back),. Survived an accident okay, got a bit smelly, not too noisy. Still use it for wet weather use.

I started out with a Shark S600, not a bad lid at all. It felt quality for the price.

Never had an issue with the visor on it either Confused In fact one of my Arai visors has taken damage a lot easier than the Shark's one did.

Laughing @ a wet-weather lid.

as someone mentioned.. due to a bit of a bust up with the importers... all of the shark helmets were (and still are in places) half prices a couple of months back..

i managed to pick up 1 of the RSF2 Race... de Puniet helmets.. this one here Smile
https://spiralspinner.com/Helmet/SHARK/SHARK-Photo/RSF2Race/SH5730BS.jpg

for a bargaintastic 99 quid reduced from 200 ... and can honestly say its one of the best helmets ive had... extremely comfortable, well built, and looks even better in real life than in the picture.. heh

i definatly reccomend 1 to anyone.. especialy at the half prices sale prices that can be had atm Smile

top helmets!!
