I need two rear wheel bearings and I have two options

2RS (double rubber sealed), or ZC3 (single metal shield)

Which is the best to use, and why (is there any noticable difference in use/life?

Thanks (ZXR400L in case that helps, for rear wheel)

I've been told rubber is maintanence free, so would be better, yeah?

Just thought I'd double check before getting them Smile

Thanks, I was pretty sure it was that, I been told by other ZXR owners, but I check my wheel and its got ZC3 in it at the moment Confused

Probably why it needs a new set Wink .

2RS are more resistant to water. Others will do in a pinch, but do not expect them to last anything like as long unless there is a seperate seal fitted.

I've seen a few new Kawasaki's with the metal shielded bearings.

They also seem to use totally unshielded bearings in some areas, such as sprocket carrier bearings.
