Mine was last January. A strong wind (not of the smelly type i should add) caught me whilst riding and nearly blew me into a row of parked cars. Had to lean against it at about 50 degrees to counter it...must have looked weird to anyone in a car following me.

Scared me though, as it happened suddenly.

Gosh mine was prob when i had my accident, just thinking to myself "no that idiot is not going to pull out" then going as far left as i could and still hit the rear of the car. I stayed up Thumbs Up

Sometimes them moments when you "save it" or a "damm i'm good" can be scary too.

Rear tyre blowout while overtaking a lorry on duel carrageway. Luckily only doing about 60mph and just pulled in front of the lorry so he saw what was happening and gave me plenty of room to stop. How I never came off is beyond me.........A touching cloth moment. Shocked

Doing a U-turn on a roundabout near gretna and having a Stobbarts truck come from my left with a wanker driver on his mobile phone. I looked at him and he looked me, tyhe he proceeded across my path. I had to countersterr like a bastard to get round him then me and my mate Ste proceeded to try and stop the arrogant twat without any result.

Second was in july when I had just got my cam chain tensioner replaced and we were on the back roads from Cockermouth to cleator moor. I went over a blind crest on the back wheel to see that the road on the other side had a sharp right hand turn ten yards along. I made it but had to pull over, put my head on the tank and catch my breath.

Following a friend on a CBR600RR out of a turning on my 125, pulling out in front of an oncoming truck. "I can make that... Oh fuck, what is that screeching, honking sound Shocked ?!". Barrelling into a roundabout about 20mph and realising that the exit I was aiming for was much further round than I realised was fun, it was the first time I got a peg down and learnt about countersteering in a hurry. Confused

Other than those, running wide on left handers and the occasional lock to lock bar wobble have been interesting, but the one which was probably most scary I wasn't concious for, or at least have no memory of.

Slowing for a speed camera on an icy road on the way back from my m8's house... not fun... Surprised , luckily i saved it by releasing the break and locking up my back break to get the front wheel back inline...i shat my self...

and, have you ever tryed to do an E-stop when your front wheel is just going down a speed bump on a corner... Not Fun !!! Trust Me
that wap probably my worst moment so far, the front wheel slid over to my left so i released the break and somehow pulled my bars to my right and steered to the left to regain grip, but some how steered to the right, maybe a bit of counter steering... and then casually filtered down the inside of the traffic i was stoping for... Praying

Scareyest moment was watching one of my m8s take a courner to fast, go over the curb, and straight into a forest with trees and bushes everywhere, Dont ask how, but he walked away, Unlike his bike.

Only good thing about that crash is that he dosnt ride like a prick anymore.

Guess we all learn mate Thumbs Up

Another bad one was doing 160+ on a dual carriageway last year only to have a car pull out to change lanes on me. I went mental with the guy bt on reflection if he had looked in his mirrors 3 seconds earlier he wouldnt have seen me. Big thinking point, its not big and its not clever - but its a fucking good laugh!

had a similar experience in december last year after only being ont he road for 3 months....strong winds blowing me right across lanes so had to lean severley to the left then wind stopped all of a sudden and i veered left into a kerb and came off at the side of the dual carriage way in the dark during rush hour.

was lucky i didnt end up back on the road and hit by a car....my trousers were a nice shade of brown that evening and none of the b*stard car drivers stopped to make sure i was OK Evil or Very Mad

Seeing a white transit van pullout infront of me, Skidding then hearing a huge bang, next thing I know I was lying half on the pavement in agony, looking down at my leg which looked like a V shape, people coming from everywhere, feeling cold, having an oxygen mask shoved on my face and then taken to hospital in an ambulance.

Fuking scary I tell thee....ride safe people!

Mine was riding round a hairpin bend on a 45 degree upward slope, while out for my first ride on a big bike in the brecon beacons. I went round it too slowly with not enough power and the bike almost stopped dead, which would have resulted in me and the bike cartwheeling down the mountain backwards. Purely on instinct i revved the engine and slipped the clutch, and the bike pulled/semi-wheelyed me out of danger.

I had a bit of a sit down as soon as there was anywhere remotely flat to stop...

Too many to mention.

Idiots in Volvos and BMWs pulling out at junctions without looking.

The fact that I seem to be invisible is also scary.

Oh dear! Shocked

Perhaps booking a advance riding lesson may help. Sad

I must be missing the point, I thought biking was about the freedom, wind in your teeth, meeting other riders and having fun! Mr. Green

I've had a few I could mention but one that sticks out is when I was coming home after being on a bike ride with my brother he was on a cbr600f while I was on a cbr250.

I was leading and then he overtook and misjudged the approaching corner watching him hitting the kerb and going arse over head is scary enough for me and I keep thinking what if?

Lucky he was fine as he landed on grass and had all the gear on and he was able to ride home after a half hour rest.

last year when i was riding a borrowed tl1000R- there's nice set of s-bends near work and i was coming into them pretty fast, there was a steaming pile of horse crap on the apex of the bend,i couldn't go round it cos the bike was well leant over so i hit it...cue huge slide with the front wheel locked towards the ditch, just as i went onto all the scummy gravel and stuff you get on the side of a country road it stopped sliding and i just made it round...there was nearly a steaming pile in my pants! Laughing

First time I hit a humpback bridge at 60 and then into a left hand corner. Was not ready for the air. Made it, now that corner is well fun Twisted Evil

One time on my way to tech in the morning, stuck behind a van and coming up to the only straight I can get past him.

As soon as the straight comes up I pin it (as much as pinning a 125 does...) , clear road ahead while I'm crawling past this van. About half way up the straight, im about 3/4 past the van and a car is coming my way.

Too late to hit the brakes, not fast enough to get past, look at the van and squeeze in as close to it as I can and hope for the best.

Car goes past, all is well for me and I'm off to find some new pants. Thumbs Up

Sliding down the road on my ass with my scooter infront of me, as we both slide towards a dual carriageway. If the scooter had reached the dual carriageway, somebody would have died. People regularly speed down there, and there's a crest to the right of the road i was on, and the crest is on a corner, so if the scooter ended up on the bypass, nobody would have seen it 'till too late.. Probably would have shat my pants if it didnt hurt so much from landing on the tarmac.

I picked my bike up, went to cross the dual carriageway, and saw a load of police in the field on my left - someone had already spun off there and parked in a field!

Hmmm theres three times i filled my leathers:

1. Offroad on my old BSA, coming down a hill at (around -didnt have a speedo) 30mph, into a reasonably sharp corner with trees on both sides. Reached down for the rear brake lever (front was completely useless, i didnt even put the front lever on). Then i realised the lever wasnt there anymore. So basicly i banged down the gearbox, which managed to loose about 10mph (if i was lucky), managed to make the corner then rolled it down the path and up to the crest of a hill. Turned out that the brake had been pulled all the way round the other way!

2. BSA again. This time it was my first time out in the forest next to my new house. I got in reasonably far, waited at the side to let someone cross the bridge over a burn with their dog, and continued on. I decided to nail it alongside this burn (with tall grass next to it) Next thing i know the burn branches of into a sharp left (onto my path) and im in the air. At this point i had two choices: 1. hold on for dear life or 2. Jump off and hope i dont get hit by the bike. Luckily i chose to hold on, and managed to land on the other side of the burn where the bank had been sloped by horses, now that i looked back it wouldent have been that bad, but i thought i was gonna really hurt myself at the time! - Its amazing how everything slows down when you have to make a descision like that!

3. On the back of my stepdads CBR900RR. Coming home doing a fair pace up to a roundabout. Behind an old shed of a car, now we've gone onto the roundabout (single lane with 5 turnoffs). The dude had indicated to go straight on, but i saw through the back window his friend suddenly jesture to a turnoff they were going past. So the guy slams on the breaks without any warning. Stepdad does an emergency stop and i can feel the back end getting lighter (if it lifted or not, im not even sure). But being pillion for one of the first times and doing an emergency stop and resisting the urge to put your feet down is all very scary first time your out!
