hi all
just a quick one how far can i go with my mixture screw still lacks power but has more now i have adjusted again now 2 1/2 turns out can i go further

please help it driving me crazy and costing me money

Hi

The mixture screw only affects the mixture at tiny throttle openings. It will have no real affect at large throttle openings which will be when you are noticing the lack of power (assuming you are using more than 1/8th throttle Wink ).

Get a selection of main jets and try those. Also try lifting the needle a notch.

Set the mxture screw back to standard and work from there for throttle response just off a closed throttle / on idle.

Best way I can think of describing it is that trying to adjust the full throttle mixture using the mixture screw is like trying to adjust the temperature of the oven when baking a cake by adjusting the central heating thermostat.

i did try with the needle but it had no affect that i felt any way do i have to combine needle mix and jets to get a better balance
