Getting my bike back!
Yep thats right, police have just rang up, informing me they have caught some twunt on my bike yesterday. Yeah, i was shocked also, they actually caught someone on a nicked bike!
Anyways, i've gotta go look at the state its in tomorrow, but it cant be too bad, or they wouldnt know it was mine (#'s have been drilled out), fingers crossed its not too fucked.
About time i had a bit of "good luck" where bikes are concerned, so im pretty happy about this news, better then a slap in the face.
We'll see whats what tomorrow, i guess. |

Was it insured for theft?
Don't like to be a party pooper but you might be better off pushing for it to be written off.
I had a bike stolen fairly recently and whilst it was repairable, I decided I really didn't want it back after some thieving bastard had been ragging the arse off it everywhere.
You shouldn't have too many problems doing so if the frame number has been ground off. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

Long story stinkwheel, still trying to get it sorted. Might as well have been tpo though, as it looks like im not getting fuck all off insurance.
Well here it is.. My pride and joy.
£105 it cost ME to get it back. Fucking joke.
No idea if they actually cought some one on it, as the garage said they've had it since before christmas, and have only just figured out it was mine.
Its had a new seat put on, new front wheel/tyres, new "race" exhaust, and im assuming its been de-restricted aswell. Missing left hand side cover, no rear brake/worn pads, and it wont start either, its also scratched to hell and back.
Its in a bit of a state, and im gutted, was practically brand new when it was nicked, 2500 miles on the clock (1000 done by me, in 4 weeks), now it looks like a 10 year old field bike.
If i EVER catch the fucker (im guessing his names nathan, as thats whats scratched into the tank) i'll rip his fucking head of and shit down his neck, BASTARD!
Heres a few crappy phone cam pics for you lot, i'll take some more when its daylight tomorrow, so you can see the state its in.. |

No idea why they changed the seat, it was fine?
| andy13_uk wrote: | at least you got it back, cant really see much in the pics but it sounds like they f*cked it up, i really hope it gets sorted! |
Cheers m8, dont really think it'll need much doing to get it going again, but its not going back on the road. Dont trust it enough for that and i cant afford to get it back on the road, but it'll make a great £1000 field bike.
| andy13_uk wrote: | Where do you normally store it? |
In my shed. Was outside of work locked up to a metal fence when it was nicked though. I was only about 20 metres away when it was took, loading a lorry up. Never heared shit.
Went outside for a smoke, thought someone was playing games as there was a big space where my bike was. Then it hit me, some twats nicked it.
| andy13_uk wrote: | and also, if you find "nathan" a beating from me if you catch the tw*t |
Oh, dont you worry about this, im going to be asking around for a nathan who had a black DT, cant be too many round where i live after all. Then the BBB will be coming out to play. |

Insurance company lost one of my forms, and cancelled my insurance. I carried on riding, because i had sent all the forms off in one large envelope, and had paid my money, so as far as i was concerned it was their problem, not mine, and they should get it sorted ASAP.
They got all the needed forms, because as mentioned they were all in the same envelope, they are saying it wasnt, which is bollocks, but i have no way to prove this. Their word against mine.
All they had to do was send me another form to fill in and "un-cancel" my insurance, but no, they said i had to start up another quote, meaning i would have to pay ANOTHER £200 up front to them. Not getting my original £200 back.
While trying to get this sorted, the bike was nicked. Just my fucking luck.
Bring on the riding with no insurance flames, i guess.. |
