i have a nsr 125 and was heading to work doing 80 on the by-pass when my back wheel locked up it then released itself and locked up again does anyone have any ideas what would cause this fustrating problem HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

you have just had your first experience of a seizure... Sad

Check the oil lines and tank make sure it has 2T in it...

HAve u recently added a exhaust or different air filter ? or carburettor ??


The barrel, and or piston could have suffered damage from this too

it was my first lock up but there is pently of 2 stroke in it and oil however i haven't check the oil lines nothing new has been added to it and i know the engine hasn't seized because i tried to bump start it but it wstill wouldn't start

it wasnt a full seizure mate it just nipped up basically a tiny seizure but there has to be something causing it....

Have u changed spark plug recently ?

it should be more likely a lean mixture or a badly adjusted oil pump . to correct the mixture upjet your carb , clean and oil your air filter . using the pilot screw has no effect at high revs .
take off your plug and compare the colour with this link https://www.dansmc.com/Spark_Plugs/Spark_Plugs_catalog.html
then have a good look at your oil pump
prior restarting ,by the plug hole ,drop a coffee spoon of oil , pass the 2nd gear and move the bike several wheel turn . then put a new plug and go gently for a while

No I have't changed the spark plug i didn't think that it would have casued the back wheel to lock?
