Well as in buying the same make/manufacturer over and over?

Come July I will have been riding (bikes Laughing ) for 2 years, not much but I've managed to go through 2 G1 ZX6R's and I love em. Thing is, I can't see passed Kawasaki.

Not once has either bike let me down or failed to thrill me.

Next bike? Well another Kwak of course, a 636R, probably the B1 model when Kawasaki made them look medi-evil!!!!

Just wondering if its just me? I don't think I'd ever buy a Honda (maybe a 2003 Blade?) or Suzuki, might consider a Yam tho.....

No I'm not particularly loyal to a manufacturer. I will buy whatever I fancy as and when the time is right. I do prefer some manufacturers over others such as preferring bikes made by Yamaha and Suzuki, over bikes made by Kawasaki and Honda etc. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't buy a Kawasaki or Honda, its just not the bike I would look at first given a whole range of choice.

Swapped from Kwaks to Triumphs. I'm pretty happy with Trumpets but that's not to say I won't look elsewhere when it comes to my next bike.

Yes, to Ducati. Occsionally I think I like another bike, speed triple perhaps, but never get any further than thinking about it, and soon forget about it.

So far I have owned a peugeot which was very poorly made and seemed like it was crafted out of cheese mainly. I then got the Yamaha SR 125 which did feel a very robust little bike and seemed very well made for a 125. Then got the Kawasaki ER-5 which was my first Kawasaki seemed a little cheaply made but then again it really was a budget bike. The suzuki Bandit was my next victim. It had a cheap feel to it but I thought it seemed a fairly well screwed together bike overall. Plus I did look after it so there was no reason it should rot.

Now I am onto the Kawasaki ZX6R which seems a very well put together machine. Lovely feel it it.

Basically I judge each bike on its individual merits rather than saying I am a Kawasaki man or Honda etc. Best way to be. That way you can really get a feel of what you like rather than what you think you should.

You can hardly compare a Suzuki GS500 with a Suzuki GSXR1000 now can you? They are 2 differant machines.

If you owned the GS and you thought Suzuki were not too good because of it you could not tar the GSXR with the same brush as they are built very differantly. Thumbs Up

Yeah I think people are too easy put of manufacturers. Like if someone thought the 8 year honda hornet ran like shit then they would be put off hondas for life. Confused Some people will go on to tell people years later " Oh they Honda bikes run crap, I used to have one" Rolling Eyes

I hate it aswell when people defend to the death their bikes manufacturer, just cause they own one.

Most manufacturers offer good, bad and "so so" products in their range, that goes for other goods asside from bikes.

I would consider anything to be honest unless it's tacky sh*te. I have however began to get a leaning towards Triumph for my next bike, they have a good range now and why not support home grown products ?

If you do fall in love, let the bike cool down before you sleep with it...otherwise it will burn your end Laughing

I'm not particularly loyal to any brand. Had a Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki's and an Aprilia in the past 7 years or so. I would love another GSX400X (Impulse) though if a decent one came up. Of all the bikes I've owned previously, it is the only one that I would buy again as an everyday bike. I would possibly buy a KR150 again, but only as a track bike.

I must be a loyal old fart to honda, four months ago i got back into bikes, as an old fart i do long commuting, did some research and found the VFR800fi (99 model) would do the job. the road tests were right, what a superb all rounder.

If you can find a more reliable, better handling sports tourer i will listen and take it for a blast!

Any offers? Bring it on!

Only had it four months and i'm already engaged to it. Got anything quicker that handles as gooooood?

I've been riding for 2 years come April and i've owned the bikes in that time which were different manufacturers!

My 50 was a Derbi, my 125 was an Aprilia and i got a SV650 now so thats Suzuki.

I'll go with a bike which is good at the time when i buy it.

I'm not loyal, but my bikes always seem to turn out to be Hondas - although other manufacturers are considered each time I buy a new bike (Suzuki. Triumph and Yamaha were in the last running). Not sure why that is - maybe its their build quality, finish, togetherness, etc. For the bikes that I buy, Honda always seem to have a 'rightness', the whole package just seems to work (I'm not talking about performance here).

erm Shocked well i dont think were share the same taste there!! Since i got a Suzuki and had a Aprilia

Wouldnt buy an Apilia again, parts were a joke to get and if you could you had to pay crazy prices for them, also no dealers around

Suzuki are ok but i see when people talk about corrosion with then, some on mine and its a 52reg Shocked

Next bike will be a 600IL i think, either GSXR600 or ZX6r, not a GSXR600 because its a Suzuki just because i like the look of them.

so no, i hope i own most makes in my biking career, Honda dont seem to ever grab me though, i dont know why just seem a bit Confused dont know why!!

All the japanese manufacturers are fairly similar for reliability, performance, corrosion protection. So I find the thing that really attracts people are the little things.

Personally I like suzukis because the gearboxes are so smooth. My SV does corrode, but only up to a point - once all the alloy is covered in fur it doesn't get any worse. I don't care about corrosion as long as it isn't going to affect the bike in a structural way.

Aye, its got to be a Kwak and its got to be green.

Its like supporting a rugby/football team for me. I can appreciate other makes but its just not the same, would feel like a traitor riding another make.

Spoze the Kwak marketing machine has done its job with me !! Rolling Eyes

I just can't see past Kwak really. My next machine is going to be another Ninja of the B1 variety!

Can't wait but dunno why I won't go elsewhere. The other bikes don't do FA for me except the new Daytona and 2006 R6...hubba! Embarassed

I own a Honda, Yamaha and a Suzuki, so I'm not exactly loyal to any of them, but I am a very big fan of Yamaha and a lot of their bikes, past and present, a huge fan of the RD's! Honda's build quality would make me choose them, and the CBR6RR, don't know about the other manufacturers.
