Prise off plastic cover #8

Remove retaining clip #7

Now wriggle out the two pins #6 which will cuse the two springs #5 to drop out.

The pins will more than likely be seized into the caliper body at the back (wheel side). I would seriously advise you buy two new pins before you start to strip it as you may have to butcher them to get them out.

Sometimes a squirt of WD and a pair of pliers will do the trick, some times you need to clamp a pair of mini moles in the middle to wangle them out.

It's even known to have to saw them in half or even remove the caliper completely, split it and them clamp the pin in the vice and 'screw' the caliper half off the pin.

A little heat from a plumber's blowlamp onto the back of the caliper where the blind hole for the pins is can help expand the metal and get them moving.

Or drill a small hole through from the back of the caliper to use a small drift to knock them through.

This is one of the most common and worst jobs on Suzukis - all for the sake of using mild steel pins instead of stainless.
