Hello i have a Rieju RS2 Matrix and when i put my Rieju into gear 1 it seems to stick when it should spring back up. I am not happy about this as i have just got it out the garage after spending 600 pound on getting it fixed. Can anyone tell me where the spring is located or what i should do to try and fix it? Thanks for reading.

Never heard of one of those, I had to Google it - nice looking bit of kit Thumbs Up

If it's just come from the garage there's a chance they've just put the gearlever on in the wrong place and the linkage is catching on something - have a look and see if it's clear of the frame, cases or whatever. It might just need moving round on the splines.

I have had a good look without removing fairing and it appears not to be catching on anything. The lever just does not come back up... but with a tap it springs back up the way it should. I will take it back to the garage on monday but if there is anything i could try to have a look at here at home i would. Thanks for the help hope someone can help me or point me in the right direction.

Take it back to the garage and get them to do it properly, unless of course it was doing it before then?

It was doing it before then yes, but only every so often when i put ever so slightly to much pressure on. Now it gets stuck every single time.

Maybe just the pivot (on the footrest?) needs a clean and re-grease.

possible that teh spring on your gear selector forks is damaged, not returning properly, is there lots of play in the selector when the bikes off,

I had a problem with my ZX-6R not going into gear, so I phoned the dealer and spoke to service, explained the problem and they suggested it could be a build up of dirt around the pivot point and to bring it in for them to have a look. An hour later with no charge and it was changing gear better than ever.

I don't know if yours might be a similar dirt problem.

My SV certainly was. Take the lever off completely and regrease the whole thing. The bushes can trap dirt in them and cause too much friction for the spring to return the lever quick enough.

As for not going into neutral, almost certainly adjusting the clutch cable freeplay will solve it. Happened all the time on my NSR.

I took the gear lever apart and it is deffinately happening deeper into the bike as the problem still seems to happen when the gear lever is off and i just push the bar that goes into the pivot which holds the lever. I will just have to take it back to the garage although my clutch lever is quite loose... ill go and try to adjust that before i ring the garage. Thanks for all the replys
