when i brought my bike it had done 3600 miles but it still looked like new with not a mark or a bit of wear on it bar the tires so now im starting to get woryed it may be an ex race bike so what should i look for to tell me whether it is or it isent?

Not really sure its just ive put more marks on it in 600 miles than it has had in its entire life.
There is a bit of a scratch in the engine casing that looks like it has fallen over but not a mark anywhere else like clutch leaver indicators or any thing.
Also the engine has some wired sounds coming from it. I think it could be the cam chain but not sure, they sound wrong like something I wouldn’t expect of a bike of this milage? and the gear box i quite clunky in first and second.
its probably just me being stuped
