Hi,
OK. Time to get these new calipers fitted
I need to completely drain the system, so does anyone have any tips/advice on the best method to do this?
Also, any advice on how to fill a system from empty?
Many thanks,

Get yourself a bleed hose, most car places do them, its a nonreturn valve of sorts, just a tube that only lets the fluid out and not back in..
Fit it to the caliper nipple, looesn the nip, pump the lever while filling, then fulid starts coming out then the fluid is all the way though the system (you can empty it the same way, just dont put fluid in)
+Make sure to use copper slip on the back of the pads, slideing pins, and a very small ammount on the bleed nipple threds, even better get some stainless steel ones and do the same
After your done use soemthing to hold the brake lever down overnight, this will make all the air in the system flow to the top, cable tie is good for this.. ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |
