Wow, got a bargain there mate, I just ordered a plain black one from a website for £199.99 inc delivery and I thought I was getting a good deal!

Should be here next week so im interested to see what people think of them too...

Only bad thing I have heard about them is that they can be a bit noisy and speed, apart from that all I have heard is Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Yeh, the local shop near me had some of the graphic designs in the XR-1000 but only medium in black... my size is L/XL but prefered the snug fit of the Large. Lucky they didn't have it really as they wanted £240 for it Razz

thats alright then aslong as you have tried it one then its fine as a bad fitting good helmet would be worse in a crash than a cheaper well fitting helmet Thumbs Up

Shoei XR series lids are excellent, without being too expensive like the X-Spirits

My better half has a XR900, and it's lighter, quieter and less fiddly that my stupid Arai!

I was looking for the Kagayama lid in silver at the show, but the silver one is only in the X-Spirit, the red and blue ones are in the XR1000 Thinking Brick Wall

I have the alloy TC1 pattern on my XR1000, its scuh a quiet lid, comfy too, and good for people who wear glasses/sunglasses

Only paid £249.99 for it from J&S accessories.

I have an XR-1000 - great lid, but admittedly I've very little to compare it against. It's not too noisy and not too heavy. The pin-lock anti-mist visor insert that came with it is excellent. Never had it mist up once.

Its light, its quiet and if you find it in the right place its only 199.99. My mate had it as his first lid and after watching him test his 'old shoie' (the XR1000) with a sledgehammer and a hammer and chisel I would highly reccomend them mate. Plus they are number two in the 'ride reccomended' test!

I had that lid, I thought it was quite noisy. But it was very light.

Prefer Arais now, seem to fit me better.

Not hard enough Laughing

It just bounced off, same for the chin bar. When he cut it in half with the hacksaw though you could see where the hammer had dented the polystyrene.

I'm a big fan of Shoei helmets. They are (generally) expensive but well worth the money in my opinion. Excellent buy!

Worth every penny, company where i used to work got them from had a letter from a guy who crashed whilst wearing a XR-1000, whitnesses reported seeing the guy fly in the air 20ft and then hit the floor. Needless to say the guy is still walking and helmet did its job Cool Well done Shoei Thumbs Up
