Hi

Seems Yamaha have been telling porky pies about the rev limit on the new R6:-

https://www.motorcycledaily.com/01february06_redline.htm

Tacho might say the red line is at 17500, but seems the real rev limiter is set at about 16200rpm.

All the best

Keith

Keith didn't mention the 'shift light'

He said the Red line and the Rev limiter.

Bog Off, Keith is the daddy.

All the Best.

MarJay. Smile

{edit} Sorry, for those that missed it, HotDog posted a sarky comment about how the rev limiter was defineable by the rider. He seems to be very good at the sarcasm, but has to delete his post if someone posts a retort! {edit}

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

if u buy the race ecu from the assesories book, it will hit the 17.5k red line Thumbs Up

just not particularly cheap, there are about 5 grand worth of adons that wil push the bike to about 150bhp for race use.

the shift light has bloolocks all to do with anything as it is set by the rider Laughing seen a few with it set around 4k rpm....why would u bother?
