2000 GSXR-600, 16600 miles. Same as in the pics, only completely standard. There's a few scrapes on the fairing, no cracks, and the exhaust has a fair graze on it where it's bolted on. What's the value, considering it is from a dealer? ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/fuzzbcf/

A quick look on bike trader suggests a price of around £2300 - the Corona colours aren't as popular as some but look great IMHO
Let us know how you get on! |

Well you're not far off! £2195 is the asking price. The only reason I asked what you thought before giving the price was that I usually get the response "that's way too much." The particular one in the picture was priced at £3300.
Not sure if I'll get it though - a test ride obviously needs to be done, as well as a really good going over, but there's no grab rail with Gixxers is there, which is a problem with my girlfriend. She can't hold on to me, and those straps are supposed to be useless. ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/fuzzbcf/

Incidently, my Gixxer is for sale. You sure you don't want to splash out a bit more? I'll throw in the grab rail. |

I took it for a test ride this morning. Everything was fine with until I took it on a dual carriageway and opened it up in second. It kept jumping right through the rev range, so I took it back and they're looking into it. I knew there was a reason it was so cheap, considering it's from a dealer. ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/fuzzbcf/

Not sure. They said they would look into it and give me a call. I don't know whether to walk away completely or give it a second consideration. What else could go wrong if it has been raced?
Plus there's the comfort thing. I'm used to a nice, upright-ish position on the SVS, and the Gixxer had me leaning over more than I have done previously. After just 20-25 minutes riding, I felt like I had done an hour.
Andy: Not really concerened about buying privately, but even at this price I would also have a guarantee and someone to shout at if something went wrong that I should have been told about. ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/fuzzbcf/
